I’m Chrystal Clay—an operations consultant, leadership coach, and the proud founder of NorthStar Restaurant Consulting.

My Story

After two decades in field consulting with brands like McDonald’s, Wienerschnitzel, HoneyBaked Ham, and Carl’s Jr., I realized what I loved most wasn’t grading performance—it was helping restaurant teams grow from the inside out. That’s why I started NorthStar Restaurant Consulting: to offer hands-on support that’s grounded in real-time coaching, not checklists.


At NorthStar, I work directly with independent owner-operators to strengthen service execution, operational flow, and leadership behaviors—all while staying fully aligned with their existing brand standards. My model is simple: no grades, just growth.

With a focused path toward a Master's in Organizational Psychology and a certificate in Human Resources Management from Cornell, I bring both practical insight and people-first strategy to every visit.

Because when teams feel supported, performance follows—and that’s what I’m here to build.
